Kawaii Cosplay as Kasane Teto

Kasane Teto (重音テト) was originally created as a troll “Vocaloid” by fans. Now she is a well-known synthesized vocal character for the free software UTAU, in some cases being more well known than some of the Vocaloids. Her surname 重音 (Kasane) has multiple meanings, which are “Piled-up Sound,” “Double Sound,” and “Heavy Sound.” Her name テト (Teto) comes from Tetopettenson, a parody song of Le Beau Tambour. Although her voicebank is only for use in UTAU, many people still mistake her for a Vocaloid.

As much as cosplay is about imitating a character to make him/her a reality, I like to add my own twist so I usually do casuals or original character(OCs). This one I’m about to share is a casual version of Kasane Teto. Casual cosplay is where instead of using their actual/original clothes, we mix & match regular clothes to what we think or presume the character would wear on a casual/regular day.

The inspiration for this is that of a school girl with a splash of funk and kawaii. The very key that makes this still a Kasane Teto look is the hair drills which is a feature that is Teto’s.

Make-up, nail-art, hair styling and coordinates made by yours truly ♥
